Korean BBQ with Seasoned Rice

 Simple and Amazing, but Marinading is Key!


Note:  I recommend at least a 3-4 hour marinading time to get best results.  Also the beef should be seared HOT.  I wear a welding glove on one hand when I make this so I can turn the beef over and not have my hand turn into ash!  😀  Serve with Seasoned Rice.

Ingredients:

1     T Toasted Sesame Seeds
1.5  C Chopped Scallions- half cup for garnishment 
4     Cloves Garlic
1/4  C Soy Sauce
2     T Sugar
2     T Sherry 
2     T Sesame Oil
1.5  Lbs Chuck Roast or another marbled cut. (Cut should be at least an inch thick.)

Instructions:

1.    Cut the Chuck Roast in thin 1/4 inch strips.
2.    Mix together the scallions, soy, garlic, sugar, sherry and oil for the marinade.
3.    Combine chuck and marinade and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

4.    Over high or even fierce heat, grill strips.  About 30 seconds per side.

Serve with teriyaki sauce, rice and a side.
