Homemade Lemonade with Lavender Infusion.

Perfect Beverage for a Hot Summer Day 




Ingredients:

1     Small handful of fresh English lavender flowers or other culinary lavender.
1     Cup of white sugar
2     Cups of boiling water
1.5  Cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice
5     Cups of cold water

Rinse lavender then cuts flowers off stems.   Put flowers in a bowl and add sugar.  Make sure your hand are clean and then squeeze and mix the flowers and sugar together.

Boil two cups of water and devolve the sugar/lavender mix and let steep for 30 mins.

Squeeze 1.5 cups of fresh lemon juice.

After 30 minutes strain the flowers out of the sugar/lavender water.

Combine 5 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar/lavender water and 1.5 cups lemon juice.  Poor over ice and serve.
